My philosophy about what I do is that anything you do, you should love it. I love designing things for other people and making their environment better for them. For as long as I can remember I always knew I wanted to do something creative with my life. I explored a number of creative avenues and finally decided that interior design is what was right for me. Having researched a lot about the profession and taken two interior design classes in High School, it was natural for me to go to college for interior design.
As a fifth year student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I am an Interior Architecture major. This program was right for me because it didn't just focus on interior design. Students got a taste of everything (i.e. interior design, architecture, product design, and graphic design). With my degree there are opportunities for me to explore a wide range of creative venues.
As my time here at UNCG comes to an end, I feel as though I have been given the skills neccesary to head out into the real world. I know that I can make people happy with my designs while at the same time keeping in mind that everything I do will leave a lasting impression on the world around it. With that I end by saying that "I design because I love and I love it because I designing."
